1. experienced the madness of last minute halloween shopping at the costume store in evanston. managed to salvage a flapper headband and beads and get out alive.
2. talked my mom out of making me go to my relatives' house for the traditional Friedman thanksgiving bore-fest. however alternatively got forced into thanksgiving dinner reservations at plymouth plantation. thank you, brenda.
3. called my parents several times in the past couple days but no one was home. tonight when i called my brother picked up, but apparently my parents are out at a party in boston. starting to wonder if they have a better social life than me.
