so sleepy...

1. spent the last week rather sleep deprived due to an orgo midterm/lab/lab final, bio lab, and anthro midterm... and then went to dance marathon for the weekend!

2. dm was super fun although exhausting- 30 hours working dancer relations-encouraging (yelling) at dancers to keep dancing and not sitting, shuttling them to and from the bathroom so they didn't run away, and still not sleeping. but as always, so inspiring and lots of bopping around

3. linabobina was here.. frat and i played in an opera concert, we all went to chitown and went skating (again... last time hopefully this year, thank god), and then had a late night out. oh and we ate at the original uno's... sooo good.

the great rains p2

1. not only is it raining, but it is windy- so windy that the rain is almost horizontal, rendering the umbrella useless. i also saw rain flowing uphill because of the wind!

2. rain is generally associated with bad hair days, but for some reason, my mohawk is unaffected. i'm thinking of cutting it off tomorrow.

3. i wish i hadn't left my rainjacket in kenya...

long time no blog

1. went to a battle of the bands concert to benefit dance marathon last night. let me tell you, student bands are really emo. makes me want to put on my black skinny jeans and give myself bangs.

2. went to the chicago art institute on saturday for some straight-up culture. i wanted to take funny pictures in front of the art (like in DC - remember, david?) but everyone i was with refused to join me. will have to go back to rectify that. also to see everything i missed the first time - that place is huge!

3. am really pissed that i'm sitting in the library right now writing 2 papers, for which i'm missing both the second-to-last home basketball game AND the figure skating long program. fml.

the great rains

1. it started raining last night and this rando chick told me this morning that it was going to be like this for 10 days... wow that sucks

2. my $1 umbrella had a good run for 1.5 years but it met its match last night and is officially over today

3. soggy feet since 9am, lovemylife. jeans soaked by 430pm, jacket still drying as we speak

1. from dwang's defying gravity post--(this is oldish news) my roommate recently discovered glee (thanks to me) and became absolutely OBSESSED. almost to the point that i got sick of it... thats saying a lot. but GLEE is back in april and the preview-y thing is out!

2. the olympics make me so happy! especially the music they play on nbc... although why does curling really exist (at least as a sport?) and my roommate and i have also been debating how in the world people get involved in some sports... like who thinks at age 10: i want to go xc ski and then shoot things?

3. more old news... we signed our lease on a super duper apartment! and it's big and it will be pretty. and might be named NAKEJ. or frat's suggestion: clifford the big red door!
